Meet The doctors
Dr. Joshua John
Dr. Joshua John began his journey at the University of Pittsburgh, where he obtained his undergraduate degree (2011). He continued on to the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and acquired his Doctor of Dental Medicine (2016). Before joining Drew Dental Group, Dr. John had been in private practice for 7 years in Maryland.
Dr. John values his patient’s role in making educated decisions about their treatment, while creating an atmosphere that is comfortable and pain-free. He is experienced in both natural tooth and implant restorations, including crowns and bridges, and is well-versed in root canal treatment. Dr. John is passionate about providing treatment using the latest technology and is constantly seeking opportunities to advance his education.
Dr. Arnold Benak Jr.
Dr. Arnold Benak Jr., originally from Boston, started his dental journey at Bostun University, where he obtainted his Bachelor of Science. During his college years, Dr. Benak’s family owned the Dock n’ Dine Restaurant in Old Saybrook where he also worked and developed a love for the Connecticut shoreline. He elected to take a different path from the family business and instead attended Tufts School of Dental Medicine, where he acquired his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). It was because of his family and his newfound love for Southeastern Connecticut that he decided to open his practice in East Lyme where he served the community for over forty years before joining Graniteville Dental Solutions in the summer of 2023.
Dr. Justin Swank, D.D.S.
Dr. Justin Swank’s journey into dentistry is deeply rooted in family tradition. Inspired by the strong relationships and trust his father and uncle built with their patients, he knew early on that dentistry was his calling. It was more than a career choice; it was a way for Dr. Swank to give back to his community and make a difference in the lives of others.
Dr. Swank earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the University of Maryland Dental School, followed by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. After his residency, Dr. Swank joined a practice in New Hampshire where he provided comprehensive care, including restorative dentistry, extractions, dentures, and root canals for several years before moving back to Connecticut.
